SON: “Daddy, may I ask you a question?”
DADDY: “Yeah sure, what is it?”
KID: “Daddy, just how much do you make an hour?”
FATHER: “That’s none of your organisation. Why do you ask such a thing?”
SON: “I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “If you need to understand, I make $100 an hour.”
CHILD: “Oh! (With his head down).
CHILD: “Daddy, may I please obtain $50?”.
The daddy was furious.
DADDY: “If the only factor you asked that is so you can obtain some loan to buy a ridiculous toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to sleep. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard every day for such this childish behavior.”.
The little boy silently went to his space and shut the door.
The man took a seat and began to get back at angrier about the little kid’s concerns. How attempt he ask such concerns just to obtain some loan?
After about an hour or so, the man had actually cooled down, and began to think:.
Perhaps there was something he actually had to buy with that $ 50 and he really didn’t request cash very frequently. The man went to the door of the little young boy’s room and unlocked.
PAPA: “Are you asleep, child?”.
BOY: “No daddy, I’m awake”.
DADDY: “I’ve been thinking, perhaps I was too tough on you earlier. It’s been a long day and I got my stress on you. Here’s the $50 you asked for.”.
The little boy sat directly, smiling.
CHILD: “Oh, thank you daddy!”.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had loan, began to get angry again. The little boy gradually suspended his money, and after that looked up at his dad.
FATHER: “Why do you want more loan if you already have some?”.
BOY: “Because I didn’t have enough, and now I do.
” Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please get back early tomorrow. I want to have supper with you.”.
The dad was squashed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It’s just a short pointer to all of you working so hard in life. We ought to not let time slip through our fingers without having spent a long time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $100 worth of your time with somebody you like? If we pass away tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. However the family and friends we leave will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our household.
Some things are more vital.
